Female Founders PropelHer Virtual Workshop: Are you ready to take on the world?
Are you a founder looking to take your business to the next level through global expansion? Do you need to raise capital to achieve your growth objectives?

In the wake of COVID-19, businesses are not just having to think through their investment and management strategies, but are also considering the need for expansion to overseas markets for business growth and to achieve scale. Offshore markets can throw up some significant hurdles, unique laws and operational complexities for new entrant, which must be understood and addressed to ensure long-term success of the business in those markets.

In this workshop, Lyndon Masters from DLA Piper and Kellie Dyer will discuss the key considerations and best practices that companies need to know when going into and doing business in new countries. In addition, Lyndon will provide an overview of the sources of capital raising in Australia across the lifecycle of a fast growth company and best practice for what will make your company attractive to VC funds (Australia and overseas) and other investors.

Key discussion points will be:
⮚ Is my business appropriately set up and my assets (including IP) protected to trade in global markets?
⮚ What are some key legal considerations for going global or entering into a new country?
⮚ What is my go-to-market strategy?
⮚ What are the sources of capital available to Australian start-up’s and where does each such source play in the lifecycle of a fast growth company?
⮚ What are VC’s looking for in start-ups?

Lyndon is a Corporate Partner and the Co-Founder and Co-Head of the DLA Piper Australia's "Disruption and Innovation Group", which is focussed on servicing clients across the lifecycle of fast growth tech companies. We look forward to you joining Lyndon Masters and Female Founder Impact program manager, Kellie Dyer, as we discuss what you can do to prepare yourself for investment or expansion.
